Reading Together is a research based workshop programme for parents, children, teachers and librarians.
It helps parents to support their children’s reading at home more effectively.
Reading Together consists of four workshops for parents which are lead by the teachers. At these workshops parents will learn:
- How to help with reading at home.
- How to check the difficulty level of reading materials.
- How to help children overcome problems in their reading.
- How to keep up the support at home.
Many parents have found the information in the workshops helpful.
They find that their children’s reading and attitudes towards reading improve when they are helped regularly in the ways suggested.
